With all the Covid-19 inflicted doom and gloom around at the moment, we at Confero are delighted to have been able to lift the mood, for some at least, by facilitating and integrating consumer engaging sampling campaigns alongside Social Media competitions with many of our fashion retailer partners.
All competitions offer consumers the chance to win a variety of prizes, from winning a new wardrobe, spa and experience days to copies of new book releases.
We have recently done just that on behalf of Hawaiian Tropic, Pan Macmillan, Simon & Schuster and Mars-Wrigley. Each product sampling campaign included an integrated consumer facing competition alongside other campaign elements to exponentially boost engagement and brand awareness.
The Instagram hosted competitions offered a variety of lucky winners the chance to win main prizes and also runner-up prizes. Pan MacMillan partnered with fashion retailer Dorothy Perkins to interact with their all-female audience and give 5 lucky winners the chance to win a £100 Gift Card, plus a copy of ‘The Sun Sister’ novel by Lucinda Riley.
Hawaiian Tropic opted to reach Miss Selfridge’s 662,000 Instagram followers by employing a ‘tag a friend’ entry mechanic. The brand offered a huge prize of 2 x £250 Miss Selfridge Gift Cards, plus Hawaiian Tropic product range hampers, along with 10 x £100 Miss Selfridge Gift Card runner up prizes!
With a simple call to action to enter the competitions; such as following the brand and its partnering retailer Instagram pages; it has been the perfect way to generate brand growth and consumer engagement. Consumer facing competitions are a cost-effective way of reaching and engaging with the right people at that opportune moment, driving consumer behaviour and ultimately, extending the overall reach of a multi-format campaign…and it cheers people up! It’s a Win-Win.
