Health and Beauty Brand Palmer’s provided Confero with a brief to distribute 40,000 individual 20ml samples of its Natural Bronze Body Lotion product in order to exclusively reach their target audience of ABC1 Women aged 18-34.
Palmer’s Natural Bronze Body Lotion is a creamy, moisturising lotion, with a special combination of pure Cocoa Butter and Vitamin E, the perfect way to keep skin beautiful and soft with a natural looking glow.
Confero recommended Oasis Fashion as the perfect fit for optimum audience delivery and boutique style environment to reach consumers shopping in the lead up to the summer holiday season.
The 40,000 samples were distributed to Oasis customers making purchases in-store. The till-point sampling with purchase activity was also supported by A3 fitting room posters and A5 strut cards displayed at till-point for further enhanced branding and awareness of the Natural Bronze Body Lotion product.
The campaign had exposure to an estimated 900,000 Oasis customer footfall across the Oasis store network during the 2-week campaign period, with in excess of 80,000 purchases being made.
Oasis stores, predominantly located on the High Street and in Shopping Malls across the UK offer close proximity to multiple outlets where customers can buy the full size product immediately after being given the opportunity to try a free sample.
This campaign successfully created the perfect synergy between brand, consumer and retailer. Palmer’s were able to reach customers while in a receptive, positive mindset whilst out shopping for a new outfit.
A number of consumers took to Twitter to share the in-store experience of being given a quality sample for free with their purchase, tagging the brand and the retailer and thus contributing to the ‘halo effect’ of social media sharing.
